Superb Austrian concert - Sibelius & Bruckner on ORF webplayer - but act QUICKLY!

Hurry folks - this excellent concert on Austrian Radio's webplayer is taken down tomorrow I think!

It is the VPO under Chailly (in 5.1 sound!) in a blisteringly good performance of Bruckner 6. The first half is Sibelius (Finlandia and the violin concerto with Kavakos). Grab it (or at the very least hear it) while it lasts. I have a lot of 6ths and this is easily the best I have heard in many moons. The sound quality of the broadcast is also (predictably!) outstanding.

I was going to catch this live but things got in the way and have been meaning to record it off the ORF Webplayer. Thanks for the jolt - am recording it now and will listen later. I heard Chailly and the Concertgebouw in a very fine Bruckner 6 in Birmingham a few years ago.

Just to say, I have been listening to the 1st part of the matinee - the Sibelius - sounds very good too - but it in the last hour has become unavailable to stream. However, the Bruckner, which I listened to last night, can still be accessed.
I wasn't listening critically but it was well worth listening to - but I presume there are only minutes left to start listening !

Many thanks Karafan for posting this.

I enjoyed the Bruckner, except that the last few bars were missing from the recording!

Yes, Pikaia, that happened to me and ruined my recording, however I swapped from Google Chrome to the Firefox browser and it played it right through OK!

I am using Firefox! I also paused the music at the end of the 2nd movement, but when I restarted it, it began after the start of the 3rd movement so I had to go back.

            Very strange.

I recorded it from the ORF webplayer by using an audio jack from headphone socket in laptop to DVD recorder and although I've not played it back yet, all seemed to be in order.

              I'm on Windows 8.
