I am thinking that some of Debussy's piano preludes might be suitable for wind band?

Golliwogg's Cakewalk, La fille aux cheveux de lin, Minstrels, General Lavine and Hommage a Pickwick were done by the Philip Jones Brass Ens and London Brass did Golliwogg's Cakewalk, Le petit negre, Masques and Clair de Lune.

Apologies for not acknowledging your enthusiasm as I have a memory of someone being very positive about about it when it appeared whom I suspect was yourself. Anyway, it really is quite special.

Somewhere - possibly in an attic in Eastbourne (or, more probably, at the bottom of a refuse/recycling heap ) - there is just such an arrangement from c 1989, Bbm; together with one of Clair de Lune.

Ah thanks for that Ferney! I thought six preludes be a good number?

Please don't worry about that, Dougie - but thank you for such a gracious comment! Yes, I did wax lyrical about the set when it was released - and it was thanks to a similarly enthusiastic Andrew MacGregor who first brought it to my attention.
