Let joy be unconfined - new releases for March

Ida Haendel's Britten and Walton concertos returns to the catalogue in a new 5CD British Composers set .

Most interesting to me - look to be the Pappano Rachmaninov mentioned elsewhere, Dorati's Mercury Respighi,Mackerras and the Czech PO in Asreal and an unreleased Wunderlich album.

There’s something strange going on with the Respighi/Dorati reissue on Newton. Apart from listing the Fountains, Pines and Ancient Airs, the picture of the CD on both the Presto and Amazon sites shows the issue as including The Brazilian Impressions and The Birds. However MDT’s picture clearly shows the ‘extras’ as being instead The Birds, the Belfagor Overture and the Botticelli Tryptich.

Certainly a worthwhile reissue, though I think I already have the previous CD incarnations.

[I don't seem to be able to download a March New Issue PDF file from the MDT site this month. It was always more convenient than having to look through their New Issue search screens. Have I missed something?]

I still have the LP of the Howells, coupled with Bliss's Music for Strings, both fabulous works!
