To show what a way I have to go......I have very few of these.

So only a minor comment I think Gould did the Goldbergs more memorably at the close.....

Turns out I have 66% of the 'Top 50'. However, I feel no desire to up that percentage.

Are you one of that select few who actually have the original discs? I have only ever heard it via lossy mp3, then more recently FLACs.

I think it'd be easier to push a piano through a wall, than get a copy of that CD.

Without sitting down and doing the maths that's probably about my percentage as well, maybe slightly less as I have few of the opera discs apart from the Wagner. The Rosenkavalier and Lulu I have on LP but never on CD.

Broadly speaking, I've little to argue with on that list as belonging amongst the 50 greatest recordings but could probably come up 50 more that could equally be there. Naturally, I've not heard all the discs but from reviews at the time and the awards they have received since I can recognise that they deserve to be included.

Relieved to say I only have 28% of them.

Can't I just set it on fire?

So that's why you're all so fond of straw-man arguments!!!

I seem to have 90% of the list although, like Petroushka, I have little to argue with about the content (apart from Steve Reich, whose "music" I cannot stand), but it would be relatively easy to compile another equally valid selection.

I have 60% - there many a classic of the gramophone in there but some rather bizarre choices too - Arrau in Chopin but not Lipatti ?
