I 've got it figured. He is annoyed because random @ symbols keep interrupting his sentences.

The quote is from Twitter, the @ symbols make sure that his tweet reaches the users mentioned after the @, one of which was Amazon. Btw, Amazon has neither replied his tweet nor mine yet...surprise, surprise!

Possibly amazon.co.uk were not aware that vendors such as Europadisc were about to run an offer on most Naxos issues, (30% reduction until 27 November). As with most supermarket promotions, Naxos are probably closely involved with the offer. To compete, Naxos has to drop its own price. However, the small print of their 'pre-order' contract means they have not obligation to apply that reduction to those availing themselves of that 'service'.

Well, very slightly OT, but I did mostly find 'pre-ordering' from hmv.com (before they went bust) a very reliable method of getting a good deal. With amazon.co.uk I very rarely opt for ordering prior to release. With them, a lower price quite often follows release, either from them directly, or via their marketplace. I suppose it partly depends upon how eager one is to get your hands on new releases.

Pretty much my experience too. Amazon quite often lowered prices before release to match those at HMV. I rarely 'pre-order' as the Amazon marketplace rather than Amazon itself tends to offer significant savings after release. It is worth adding that some of the larger box sets when first posted on Amazon have low prices that after a day or two increase usually to a point where it makes more sense to wait for release. The lesson is to get in quick.
