Well, the JEG box arrived this afternoon. So far, I've heard just one cantata - quite superb.

Does it come with texts etc? And what about the striking covers of the original CDs?

Texts are on a CD ROM. The covers appear to be the original ones, but are printed on the card cases.

Having listened to the full set, I have begun listening to the Rilling set again.

I much prefer the JEG. The singing in particular and in a different league.
