Since posting originally, I have picked the very well-recorded Bruckner 4 (June 1952) and the newly-discovered (long thought lost) broadcast of his wonderfully atmospheric Mahler 7 (June 4th 1958). Terrific additions to the van Beinum library and they are to be had for pocket money prices!

Karafan.
BTW His Bruckner 8 finale just came up via shuffle-play on my iPod. It's very swift and no-nonsense (under 21 minutes!).

At least, I think it's the same performance.
[I have yet to get round to listening to any of the Beinum discs in the box 1 of the Archive set.]
