I always thought it a great pity that these works were never tackled by Simon Preston, the Choir of Christ Church Cathedral and the AAM during that golden period in the 70s and 80s when they made so many fine recordings for L'Oiseau Lyre.

One of the downsides of Andrew Manze's venture into later repertoire is that it makes it less likely that he will record the Chandos Anthems, either.
