I wonder what Fedoseyev and Simonov's box set of Tchakovsky is like - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tchaikovsky-...sky+symphonies though I'm less sure about the balletic credentials of those conductors.

I've had another search online, but have not found it. Incidentally there's a splendid Paray Wagner disc which Fanfare incorrectly states has only become available recently as a download, but it is on CD and is terrific.

I've recently uploaded Dorati's Firebird with the London Symphony Orchestra and amazingly, or not, you can buy three LPs on 180g vinyl, Petrushka and Rite making up the three as recorded on Mercury. I have the Minneapolis Rite but it needs serious cleaning so that's on hold, but I have enjoyed processing Peter Katin's Rach 1 which has come up pretty well but I imagine all boarders already have it in their collection and I wouldn't want to deprive our hero of his Pristine royalties so that one stays in the vaults!! Unless....?

The former.....that's why it sounded a little weird!.. of course I hadn't read the very fine print on the cover and had just noted "Stereo" in big print on the disc. The Firebird, by the way, has a Rosette in my "up-to-date" 1999 Penguin Guide.
