Neat - but should perhaps be D2K+2. Well done!

I had just realised I missed out the all important extra "2".

            Cheers D2K+2 !!

I have just had my Cloud Player automatically loaded with my purchases going back over quite a few months (only those bought direct from Amazon, not other vendors under the Amazon umbrella, which I suppose is what you would expect). There are a couple of CDs I had forgotten about, though one of those was acquired for someone else.

I can see it being perhaps useful when I'm on a trip, and want something to play on the laptop using free Wifi in a hotel room (though I carry a 16GB USB stick loaded with much music for this purpose already).

I don't think I'll be loading any other CDs into my free area, or using it to play at home, where every time I listen to something it will eat into my monthly broadband allowance, whereas a download of the same item will only hit it once.

I don't think loading your CDs will affect your broadband allowance once they're there.

And in any case, haven't the 'as much as you can eat' deals overtaken all others in vfm?

I didn't say it would! It is subsequent listening to anything on the Player which will use up allowance which would not be used listening to the same items on my PC.

I can't answer your second question without a translation.

Vfm - value for money (horrible, sorry!).

What I mean is, if you check the deals that are available, you will almost certainly find an unlimited download (eat as much as you like) tariff (or near-unlimited) that will match or beat your current deal, price-wise.

                      Ah! Sorry for not understanding.

I'm not inclined to go through the trauma of changing horses when the present arrangement suits me fine for my current usage (about a half to two thirds of my 10GB monthly allowance, on average).

If it ain't fixed, don't break it (or something like that).

Good to see they rate horses in gigabytes these days

The same thought had occurred to me regarding the BT 10GB - I've run it close on occasions and during the prom season use iplayer and record from freeplayer and overdownload may be close. I tend to use about 7.5GB - any cheap downloads such as the Czech SQs for £7.99 last month - are done around 30th of the month.

We very rarely look at TV on line, and not very often Youtube. A fair bit of streaming Rai5 (what happened to that British programme that used to have classical music?), also catching up on comedies on Radio4Extra and a few downloads make up the bulk of our usage.

The only time I went over the monthly limit was downloading a new set of all the maps of Europe for my Garmin satnav. I hadn't found out the total size and once it was running (fairly near the month end, as luck would have it) I didn't dare stop it!

Re. the Amazon cloud player - I've bought many CDs for other people over the years and it has also added these to my list! I am not impressed, it'll take ages to weed out all the things I bought for other people that I won't listen to.
                                Best regards,
                                Jonathan
