I sometimes wonder about the value in reviving threads which are old, in this case almost eight years old, except that it may be interesting to see whether our views are the same now! It actually predates my board life so I cannot check my own. Do our preferences and biases change very much?

There's a very broad genre of music called 'crap pop' and I hate all of it.
Seriously - some of the stuff that Millennials listen to is so offensive is in its arid blandness that I feel I have to put as much space as I can between myself and it when I get wind of it. It's quite beyond me how anyone can like stuff like 'Ed Sheeran' for instance.

But I agree about Ed Sheeran who seems to have infested the country.
Though, my daughter, who has a much more prestigious music degree than I do (and a higher one as well) is a great enthusiast....
