    Sorry if you were underwhelmed LG . The Menuhin/Furtwangler recordings are superb and the 1947 Lucerne version would be one of my desert island discs

      Just wondering as I listen to this extraordinary record again this morning if anyone else got this ? It still strikes me as intensely exciting .
