Now who is going to be first? If you replace the "m" of "com" in the URL linked to with ".uk" you will find that 1 brand new copy is available from amazon.co.uk and two used copies are available via the amazon.co.uk marketplace. No wonder a search for "beethoven violin concerto brown" does not find it. She gets no credit in their listing. However, "beethoven violin concerto marriner import" (without the quote marks) will find it, (6 places down the reuslting list - one below the cassette version). The back cover is illustrated by default when you eventually get to it, but the front can be selected. It is listed as "Violin Concerto D by Beethoven, Marriner and Amf (1990) - Import".
If only I was sufficiently tempted at the not unreasonable prices quoted.
[Actually, on closer examination it looks like only 2 copies are available. The one apparently direct from Amazon is in fact handled by Elite Digital, who also have it on offer for £2 less via the marketplace.]

Iona Brown (violin)
194 BEETHOVEN Violin Concerto in D Op.61

Well, not bargain basement, but hens' teeth never did come cheap. It's a sellers' market, and given that, the asking price is not that high. I, however, continue to resist the mild temtation.
I used to love Iona Brown's account of the Sinfonia Concertante and Mozart Violin Concerto No2 on Argo I think - cannot remember the violist . An LP from my youth- I wonder if I still have it somewhere .
