Has any one got the Byron Janis boxset, a kind of Original Jackets set? I am interested in it but don't know how highly regarded the performances are.

My experience with Janis recordings is limited to the Mercury recordings that he made of the Rachmaninof 2nd & 3rd Piano Concertos and the Tchaikovsky Concerto. I had recently repurchased the Rach as High Resolution downloads from HD Tracks. At any rate, they are not being offered in the box that you mention.
