My daughters' youth choir (well, they left a couple of years ago and are at Uni now) are on that recording (post #51) - Cantate Youth Choir - a wonderful experience in excellent performance (the effect of which. hopefully, will re-surface in some form in their 20's or 30's. Recommendable (for children or audience) to anyone in their Bishops Stortford / East Herts / Essex /Cambridge performing territory. Senior choir SATB. Cantate doesn't go in for "movement" show type presentation, but they perform a wide repertoire in different styles so one needs to be reasonably open mind as their concerts are varied. On occasion they perform pieces with absolute perfection, and generally to high / highest standards.
They also show up at the Thaxted Festival, and this year, they will be performing Noye's Fludde - a departure, they have not done a staged performance (in any form, before). (which reminds me, I must get my tickets for that....) (Apologies if this is a diversion from the Stravinsky citation - but I hope its good to mention an excellent musical enterprise, the kind of which, I know, there are others around the country).
