    A slippery slope, fhg!

For £200, listening to Meatloaf is "easy" - I'd do quite a few strange things for that! Like listening to ALW, for example...

She has a Specialists Guide To... Historical Female Composers in March 2017 Gramophone, a wide selection from Caccini to Strozzi, Lutyens to Clarke, all the way back to the 9th Century Constantinople Abbess, Kassia....
Time for a browse on Qobuz, then...

Not even when the Rattle/Berliner Philharmoniker cycle is released?! Or Haitink/Royal Concertgebouw cycle?

                One day!

I defy you to keep those tunes out of your head for anything up to ten days, Ferney.

You do realize that these recordings will only be available on 24 vinyl LPs at £200 per disc, don't you.

Many, many times in the past, when Edgey has said something nice about a composer I admire, I've forced myself to go to youTube to find one of the things and listen to it all the way through. Remembering anything from them (beyond the sheer deathly dullness of the damned experience) even after ten minutes is the problem. At 57, I now accept that I'm probably about half-way through my life - and there's a lot of Monteverdi I want to get to know.

I've mentioned elsewhere - any composer with "Lloyd" in his name seems to be the kiss of death for me.

But, anyway; back to topic ...

You can't put a price on extreme quality, ferney...

I'd certainly agree on "extreme quality"

At least! (The Flying Dutchman had it easy.)

Intrigued by the Fricker string quartet, I invested!

Has RR abandoned a running order (and an email notification)?
