Big fan of this chain-smoking Hungarian (who was affectionately known as 'Ashtray Annie'). Her Liszt Concertos with Klemperer are the only recordings of those pieces I like.

Her Icon box is a terrific bargain and has given me a great deal of pleasure. What a Bartok 3 and of course she and Fricsay made the best recording of Beethoven 3 ever !Comment
