Looking for an old recording - Nasedkin in Schubert sonata D850 in D

    Hi all

A friend of mine has been searching for years for a long out-of-publication recording of Russian pianist Alexei Nasedkin in Schubert's piano sonata D850 in D (op 53) which I think was realeased on the Melodiya label in 1970. Does anyone happen to have a copy lurking in their library please?

It has never made it to CD, AFAIK.

Please PM me if you can assist.

    Many thanks

    Karafan.

Just checked, but I don't think I can help. I only have Nasedkin in the Rimksy Quintet for Piano and Winds (LP) and the Rubinstein Quintet for Piano and Winds (LP and CD).

There are copies of the Angel LP (SR 40145) available on the internet, e.g.

    for $15: http://www.invinylveritas.com/index.php?category=6

    for $20: http://www.cdandlp.com/liste/index.c...in&value_adv2=

(I have no experience of these particular vendors.)

Not sure if this is a cd or lp (or, for that matter, if it is the right recording).

Amazon.de seems to have a cheap used copy.

That is it (Op.53 = D.850), though it's Sonata number 17, not 2 as far as I'm concerned. Pity it shows as unavailable, though you could add it to your wish list I suppose. (Isn't there an Amazon mechanism to email you when a Wish List item appears? I've never actually tried that.)

Yep there are a few LPs on eBay. In the past known as op. 2 as was only the second Schubert sonata to be published.

I'd half forgotten that. (I think you meant Number 2, rather than Op.2?)
