Testament CD's

I may complain on here about their pricing policy but I'm concerned that we haven't had any new releases from Testament for quite some time. Their website lists several mouth-watering releases due in 2012 but there isn't much time left if they are going to fulfill that promise!

I do hope all is well with them in these economically challenging times. Does anyone have any news?

But equally no "50% off Testament"adds which one might expect if they were short of cash.

I'm convined they'd be far more profitable if their discs were £4-5 cheaper in any case. They were always pricey but seem to have ignored the deflation in the market.

Agreed. I have a load of Solomon Beethoven sonata discs in an Amazon wishlist, all around the £24-25 mark! I keep my eye on the s/h prices on the reseller marketplace. I managed to snag his Beethoven Concertos 3 & 4 for around £3 the other day. A lesson in patience!

Yes, quite. I can only assume that the Testament transfers are better. Plus they have all his extant Beethoven sonatas, spread over many separate expensive discs, of course!!

Thanks PJPJ. Seems to confirm that Testament are alive and kicking, thank goodness. There are some interesting and desirable issues from Karajan, Klemperer, Monteux and Svetlanov which have been on their website for months and they need to go on my Christmas wish-list. Time is getting short!
