It would be good to think that the finest musicians were also the nicest people. I fear this may not be the case but take heart from Cali's story.

A forthcoming Jurowski performance of Vaughan Williams Sixth symphony and Prokofiev's Fifth is looking highly tempting.

Gramophone took rather a long time to review this but it was their Recording of their Month for Dec 2012- Edward Seckerson raves about it .

Jurowski really is a very fine conductor . His Mahler 2 is stupendous and I loved the Honegger disc .

One has to wonder if he will get one of the really big international jobs soon ? Hope not for the LPO and Uk concertgoers sake .
