iTunes UK: bargains

I quite often come across these so thought I would post details - first two:

Strauss: Elektra (complete)/Barenboim 2.99. Orchestrally superb if not quite as good vocally as Solti, Bohm or Ozawa.

Chopin: Polonaises/Leonskaja 2.99

Prices in UK pounds - though a Brit I now live in Melbourne so no symbol on my Aussie keyboard...

Interesting! Some of the Elektra tracks are on Spotify, but not all of them!

Not sure about the Leonskaja - certainly some of the tracks are on Spotify, and that may be enough for most people.

Nothing obvious for either on Napster.

The Jonel Perlea Aida with Milanov and Bjorling is only £2.49 on the Burning Fire label (no me either). I have downloaded this and the sound is excellent. Bizarrely the Naxos is available at £24.99 and a Discover Classical Music is also at £24.99
