Using iTunes store - completing purchases for albums

Occasionally I use the iTunes store. Others may use it more.

If I buy one or two tracks off an album, then later buy the album, do those tracks already downloaded get charged for again?

emusic, a similar service, notices which tracks have already been downloaded - though attempts to download repeatedly do cause additional charges.

iTunes offers 'Complete My Album', which addresses this very point.

When you log in to the iTunes Store you'll find Complete My Album in the quick Links section on the top right. Click on the link and you'll see a list of albums from which you've purchased some tracks only. You can purchase the rest of the album at a reduced price.

(I cannot swear to this, but I'm pretty sure that if you go to buy the complete album afterwards, iTunes will let you know that you've already purchased some tracks and won't download, or charge you for, these.)
