Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I have been enjoying YPTortelier's recording with the BBC PO of the Chausson symphony coupled together with Soir Du Fete and Viviane this week .Highly recommended as it goes with a real swing and is in much better sound than the Munch and Ansermet recordings , although the former in particular remains my favourite recording with real flair and character.

it opens with a quite stupendous account of Chausson’s Poeme . A true contender up there with KWC and Oistrakh but much better recorded .
