Anyone else got their copy yet? I've had a couple of weeks listening now and it's an astonishing bargain at less than £1 per CD. Some CDs have been remastered for this set, some haven't.The sound varies somewhat and some of the recordings are still rather harsh but many are better than previous incarnations.

The repertoire is idiosyncratic, lots of repeat recordings of his core repertoire and I haven't compared any directly yet. I have reminded myself just how good many of these performances were.

Strongly recommended.

That's quite a price hike, the pre-order price was very good at Amazon, I must remember that.

Curiously, Amazon doesn't list it for sale by Amazon (or I can't find the posting) and Amazon US lists it as a pre-order for sale only in a few months.

Actually they do list 2 used sets for sale as "Amazon Wharehoue Deals", they are even eligible for "Prime" dispatch. The lowest "new" price is now nearly double what I paid by 'pre-ordering'.

In comparative terms the Presto price might seem high, but it's still incredibly cheap for such a large number of historic CDs

Thanks for update. I have also discovered that MDT now charge £3 postage even over £50 where it used to be free.
