G&S set of 11 DVDs

The ones with Vincent Price [?] and Frankie Howerd in the cast lists, available from 2004.

As all I have so far are old D'Oyly Carte and Sargent recordings on CD I wondered what to expect from the DVD set, which I am lucky enough to have received as a Christmas present today.

I put a similar thread on the old r3 boards, dont know if anyone can find them for you. I bought them but still havent really watched any.

They must have been shot back in the 1970s, salymap, so production values might look a little old hat. I was (am) a huge fan of Frankie Howerd, but was never very sure about the decision to cast him in G & S.
