    Gramophone archive problems

Anyone else having problems logging into their account over at the Gramophone Archive?

I haven't been able to access mine, or save any reviews searched-for for over a week now. When I ask them to email me my password, assuming it is some problem with this at their end, I see yet another unhelpful error message - "A problem with the accounts server has caused this process to fail. Please try again later." Of course, there seems to be no way of contacting them.

Anyone had the same probs, please?

Same problem here. Login failed with 'Server was unable to process request. ---> Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow.'

In case I had mis-remembered my password (it's ages since I've bothered to log on, since you can view the archive without) I asked to email it to me and got the identical message to yours!

No. I was using it yesterday.

How strange - because yes, Don, my later message had been preceded by that arithemetical overflow nonsense...!

Anybody know how to email the bods over there?

I can't get in either with the same message. There is a contact email address.

If your query relates specifically to the website, please email gramophone.online@haymarket.com

Karafan - Just seen your message. Don't know if you've tried anything else but I've emailed sue.mcwilliams@haymarket.com who is "Editorial Secretary at Gramophone.net" to see if that gets a response - although I suppose the 'contact us' messages may go to her anyway!

I have been using the archive a fair bit in the last two weeks and I have had no problems at all.

And have you been logging in Beef Oven? That's the only way you can add certain review to your 'personal archive' and it still ain't letting me in!

Agreed, kf, I just tried again and still no go.

(I've never really wanted to create a personal archive, so it doesn't really worry me, but it is bad form that the login doesn't work, and for so long.)

Might it be worthwhile putting up a complaint on the Forum? Apologies if this suggestion has already been made/tried.

New Gramophone editor Martin Cullingford was in charge of the forum for a while and unlike many of his colleagues he seemed to understand both parts of the term 'useful service'

I just tried to create a new account, to see what would happen, and got this error message:

An error on the accounts server has not allowed this account to be created. Please try again another time.Server was unable to process request. ---> Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow.

An email to the editorial secretary has, thus far, elicited no response....

When I had a problem on the old Gramophone forum I had a most helpful response from Charlotte Smith.
