I had a passing thought along those lines but I'm not sure how marketable my old Bruckner set in jewel cases and my doubles of the Brahms will raise. A relatively expensive way of acquiring the Beethoven set.
The Brahms doubles have been expensive on marketplace. Prices will fall now, I imgine. I have the Brahms on LPs but the 3rd has an off-centre hole.it's therefore nice to be able to upgrade.
