I wish Nigel Slater had never gone on TV his early books are great - he , however, gives me the creeps.

I don’t watch TV these days but I saw NS once years ago on a TV programme. He was really no good. I still have his Guardian articles (they are no mere recipes) from 1997 when he was un-bespectacled and smooth-faces. Almost in shorts. He is definitely a writer and not a performer.

By the way, did anyone hear the start of the latest CD Review?
