Very glad now to have got to know all of the Naxos Weingartner set- no wonder that VPO Ninth was so loved in particular . The only one slight disappointment considering its iconic status was the Eroica - yes it is very enjoyable but it did not send shivers down my spine as I had been expecting.Last edited by Barbirollians; 24-05-21, 15:09.

But then I don't have any HUPP recordings of Beethoven symphonies apart from Chailly which someone gave me as a present and which, without wanting to seem ungrateful, I haven't played all of yet.
