I've just listened to this BaL, and enjoyed Ian Burnside's commentary. Unlike someone earlier in the thread, I rather liked the Brendel illustrations, but I don't think IB said which set they were taken from. As I understand it (this makes me sound like a real anorak...) there are 3 sets from different parts of his career: the 60s (originally Vox, now Brilliant), the 80s (Philips) and the 90s (Decca). Any Brendel fans out there who recognized which one? I note that Presto is selling the latest Decca set for £35, which sounds like quite a bargain: if this was the version used in BaL, I'd be tempted.

The Gulda set from Brilliant/Amadeo lobbed in this morning in a blizzard, courtesy of brave Duncan, our postman.

Listened to the the op 2 set thus far, with the greatest pleasure.
