Midiman, the Gothic wasn't recorded by Hyperion - they bought the rights - and I guess the master is >16 bit. There was a lot of discussion here about the really poor sound of the BBC broadcast and I gather Hyperion's results are far, far better than what we heard back in July!

Indeed frenchie. The Hyperion engineers spent many hours and threw a lot of money at the task of rescuing as much as they could from the severely dynamically limited efforts of the bookies turned 'audio engineers' hired by the Beeb. Hyperion, depite their best efforts, could not, however, fully restore the dynamics presented to the mics on the night. The incompetence of the bookies turned 'audio engineers' saw to that. Janacek's Glagolitic Mass suffered the same fate on the First Night.
