I visited their website for the first time and soon left. A banner appeared covering half the screen asking for an email address to be entered and there was no way apparent of closing this. Sorry, just awful!

Sorry to hear of your experience but the front of the site should look like this:- https://www.europadisc.co.uk/ with links for new releases, composers, special offers, etc. There's a weekly column called Spin Doctor which discusses topics at length, this week Ligeti.
I haven't shares in the firm but rejoice that it's based in Nottingham!

You should be able to see an 'X' in the top right corner of the popup that closes it permanently. If you can't see it, you may need to scroll horizontally or change the zoom level of the browser. I'm a satisfied customer of both Europadisc and Presto (which is just as well, as there are now so few options outside Amazon and Ebay) and generally just shop on price and availability.

I’ve just ordered two CDs from PRESTO and notice that the spend has to be in excess of £35 to qualify for free p&p. Last week it was £25.

For me, the great advantage of PRESTO is their streaming service so that once you’ve purchased a disc you can immediately listen to it. I only use this service on my ‘phone for when I’m doing tedious jobs at work but I may buy a streaming device at some point.

I noticed that too - it's £50 at Europadisc, but they've had that threshold for years. The smaller difference will probably tip the balance towards Europadisc for some of my orders.

I wish Presto would also allow proper downloads of albums purchased as CDs (as Amazon does with 'AutoRip' discs), but they presumably don't have that sort of licence or want to steer us towards their new subscription streaming service.

With some labels, such as Hyperion, it is well worth checking out the total cost of multi-item orders since they offer an increasing level of discount as your order grows, whether physical discs or downloads.

Thanks to you (and Jonfan) for that. You are spot on! By reducing the zoom the X appears top right of the banner!
