    Reviving old threads seems to be in vogue so I thought me too!

    Ormandy made many recordings over his long tenure of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Maybe the time could be right for a box of his 50s mono recordings.

        IMO the desirability of an Ormandy mono box would be limited unless there were a significant number of works that he did not re-record in Stereo. The Ormandy recordings that I am familiar with that feature repertoire that he recorded serially over the decades are remarkable for their consistency in interpretation. Given that there is no reason to not hear that Orchestra in all it’s glory
