Many thanks for the info, Am51. I was present at a previous live RFH perfirmance in October 1979 and was rather hoping it would be that one but this will do nicely until that one comes along.

Slightly lower price at MDT, by the way. Top the order up to over £50 and you also get free 2nd Class p&p.

        This is even better:

I was present at this performance and if I live to be 200 I will never forget it!

I made the mistake of searching for Mahler Tennstedt on the hmv site, so did not find it. I must remember just how awful the hmv listing criteria are. Mahler, being merely the composer, does not count as a search criterion, or maybe it was Tennstedt, as but the conductor, who let me down.

Am pretty hacked-off with EMI for at last reissuing the live 6th and live 7th but lumping them together with the studio cycle which most Tennstedt fans will have already!

In some ways I quite like the challenge when I know that something must be there but the obvious routes don't lead to it. Since the prize is often a lower price it can be worth persevering. It is without doubt the worst search software that I regularly encounter on the web.

This is looking like a sort of relaunched BBC Legends series with some DVDs thrown in.
