    The Pearl Fishers

I am listening to Alexander Bloch’s version on Pentatone which when on holiday this summer even through my schoolboy French I could work out the Jardin des critiques panel was raving about . It’s terrific especially the high tenor singing of Cyrille Dubois but all the principals are excellent as are the choir and orchestra .

    Highly recommended .

You get lots of listening done with Omicron ☹️

Yes I second your recommendation, this was one of my favourite CD purchases in 2020 - sparkling conducting, terrific singing, lovely recording.

Sorry to hear you have been struck down with Omicron - I got it before Christmas but was lucky to have only mild symptoms (basically just a heavy cold) and was able to carry on working from home without interruption.

Is that a new streaming service or am I just confusing its similarity of symptoms to the common cold? Sorry shouldn’t joke - hope you’re not suffering seriously!
