    Been listening to the Kocsis recording today - pretty dazzling to my ears. Kossuth is very good too though both works so different to his later stuff and indeed the Wooden Prince is so different to Bluebeard considering how close together they were composed.

      Played this record a lot over the last few days - difficult to imagine either piece being performed better than by Kocsis and his orchestra.
