I would recommend this box largely for the Beethoven sonata recordings which strike me as outstanding - as well as the old classic Arrau /Giulini Brahms Concertos and I enjoyed the Arrau/Galleira Beethoven records too - very much of their time but with much wonderful playing and the Fifth struck me as the best .
A few records in the box to go . The Tchaikovsky Concerto is very grand , in some ways it sounds very slow and portentous and wrong but then I got swept up by it. Weber's Konzertstuck seems to get much the best recording of it I have ever heard -but oh dear the Grieg Concerto- very slow , very romantic , very pulled about. I think not for repeated listening.
