Young Kanneh-Mason has released a CD of works based on the Enigma Variations. This morning's 'Breakfast' played what seemed to me to be a totally pointless reworking of 'Nimrod' for cello and string quartet. It's the first time I've ever NOT enjoyed listening to this piece - this arrangement had nothing to add to what Elgar had already said.

Nimrod is the only Enigma arrangement amongst the miniature fillers
