Very possibly a short-term pricing error which was honoured but then quickly adjusted upwards.

Any updates in last two years?

Or any boxes you’re eyeing up?

The Bach 333 box is far and away the largest I own. I wasn't going to buy it originally, but was able to purchase an essentially new/unused box from a private collector earlier this year for £70, so I wasn't going to say no ! I keep eyeing up the Bruno Walter box, but haven't succumbed ...... yet !

As is the big Toscanini box, wch I know Bryn also has.

Is that a super box which contains all the individual decade boxes?

Yes, the DG and Decca Karajan (355 discs)*, followed by the Bach 333 (223 discs), Mozart 225 (200 discs), Brilliant Classics Complete Mozart (170 discs), the Concertgebouw Radio Legacy box (152 discs, and the original Brilliant Classis Haydn Edition (150 discs - though I have since added the missing String Quartets from the complete Buchberger box). The revised edition of the Haydn Edition has 160 discs but is still far short of a "Haydn Complete Works".

                  * I was just too tempted by the Browns Books price of £179.70 including p&p (brand new).

Looking at the current going rate of the Mozart 225 box, perhaps it's time for me to put my two spare sets (still unopened in their original Amazon packaging) up for sale. I paid £174.29 each for them.

I presume that's the 85 disc RCA box?

Goodness me! The price (I'm sure its an algorithm aberration) on the river people UK puts its present value into sealed bids territory.
OH, hang on - its unavailable, even at that price.....

                      Here you go: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383751931180

Hmm. Amazon do not recognise that I bought it from or via them. However, a search of this forum reveals I did indeed buy it thus for £76.61.

My biggest is the RCO 125 set with 152 CDs in two boxes. I got it at a reasonably cheap price from MDT just before they shut up shop. My biggest single box is the Leonard Bernstein Re-mastered Edition containing 100 CDs.

I bought the Karajan 1960s, 1970s and 1980s boxes on DG and followed it up earlier this year with the complete Decca HvK box but stupidly failed to get the DG opera box which has now, alas, disappeared. If anyone wishes to part with theirs, having bought the huge Karajan box, a PM would be very welcome with a view to purchase!

Sorry, I sold mine a couple of years ago when I bought the big box (which is my biggest). I even made a profit on it.

I would suggest setting up a watch for a 2nd hand copy on Amazon using camelcamelcamel.

Biggest box set I've got is the Hyperion Leslie Howard Liszt one (99 cds). Then there's Schumann Demus piano music (13 cds), Rheinberger piano music (10 cds) and the Alkan edition (13 discs) and a few others that are smaller than that! I've not got the space for loads of huge boxes in my CD holder.
                              Best regards,

How, and where, do people find the time to listen to all these CDs and the space to keep them? Do some Forum members live in mansions?
