Muti Symphonies were a great value buy a few years ago on Brilliant. My first encounter with his music was at a solo piano concert given by Roger Woodward at York University in about 1971. Unfortunately I didn't keep the programme so can't check details but I remember it was Scriabin and Takemitsu in the first half followed by the Hammerklavier after the interval. It is memorable not only for the interesting programme and great playing but (reflecting no doubt Scriabin's preoccupation with music and colour) the use of different colour lighting for each piece. Yellow, green and purple - not quite sure after all these years which composer got which colour. I'm seriously tempted by the Maria Lettberg discs mentioned above.

Quite recently I got to know his only song in a historic rendition by the marvellous mezzo Zara Dolukhanova. (I got this highly recommendable 4 CD collection). The song, called Romance and only 1.32 mins long, was only discovered posthumously and was written in 1891 when he fell in love with Natalia Sekerina, a young pianist. He was 20, she was 15. (More details here)

Just not on this current thread devoted specifically to Scriabin,

I think what cloughie means is that he doesn't see the image, just a blank space (hence his comment about seeing it, i.e., a blank space, many times before).
It might help if you posted the link not just the image.
Not related to any possible confusion about the two Scriabin threads.

iPads don’t show embedded YouTube clips on the forum software here. Just click “reply with quote” and cut the link. In Bryn’s case it was this

The Lively Arts1978 Film written and presented by Kenneth van Barthold (1928-2016).

Ah, the wonders of Apple products.

I will try to remember to both post the URL and embed the video.

                          I am a selective Scriabinist.

My top recommendation would be Sinopoli’s recording of Le Poeme D’Exstase with the NYPO.

I’m more for his piano music, although I drive into his orchestral from time to time.
