    One of the many problems with the 1000 Finest was that there was only 1 option for most works. Odd exceptions included the Szymanowski violin concertos, definitely personal preferences at play.

      Yes. That publication was terrible. They'd lost it well before that one came out, IMV. I do remember buying it in the hope that it would rekindle some of the past triumphs ....
