Do "singles" actually exist any more?

For advertising purposes record companies still seem to refer to albums and some "discs" as (for example) EPs.

A recent example is the "EP" of Sheku Kanneh-Mason released by Decca - http://www.deccaclassics.com/gb/artist/kanneh-mason/ -
but in fact trying to buy the "disc" simply links to download sites.

Are there actually EPs of this and similar new releases, or is the term "EP" now taken to mean a short digital album with (say) 2-4 tracks?

Here's this weeks No1 , available as a single in both CD and Vinyl.

Blimey, £6 for a vinyl single..
Although I suppose when I was buying lots of singles in the late 70's and early 80's, they were around £1.00, so broadly equivalent.

Still got all of mine in a large wooden chest, in( sort of) alpabetical order, and still have a session playing them from time to time.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

I had lots of singles as a young boy and really wish I still had them although Mrs. PG and I did buy a few off the internet of material that we were interested in. Actually, we just found them a real skitter what with having to jump up every couple of minutes to change them!
