I`ve no idea at all about the quality of this, either as a performance or a production, but it is to be welcomed as the first official release on DVD of Wagner`s rare second opera. Until now there`s only been a somewhat fuzzy recording available on the "grey" market".

I note the DVD's audio is only provided in lossy Dolby Digital stereo or DTS surround. No LPCM stereo. However, the Blu-ray does offer LPCM
