It's only money - less than a year's Home Insurance - cheaper than the Vinyl Rattle/Brahms - In fact, I'm finding it difficult to imagine a good (or even a feeble) reason not to get it! HELP!!!!!)
Good luck. However, I fear you may suffer same frustration some of us did re.the mispricing over at amazon.fr

This has actually pushed me over the edge - I've ordered from Amazon at the Vinty price!

Did I hear Andrew MacGregor say that the set weighed 10 kilos? I hope that those who ordered it have strong shelves!

                .

... if it arrives, I think it'll sit on the floor next to the Glenn Gould box -

Look at all the "sane" people, then come on in, Padraig - the water's lovely here!

(It's over an hour since I took the plunge, and rather than thinking "What have I done?!", I'm thinking "Hope it arrives soon!" - I've made the right decision: the whisky will be to celebrate, not encourage.)

OMG £174 from amazon with free postage (Prime).... I'm starting to buckle too

Ferney and vindetable have a lot to answer for...

... as do the Kenyon/McGregor duo

                      I really want this set.
Agreed on both counts. It's nuts at 87p a disc....

Here's an attractive .pdf of the contents: http://cdn1.umg3.net/273-cdn/website...ozart225v3.pdf
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

... and the entry on my amazon page has moved from "not yet despatched" to "preparing to despatch".

                        Hopes remain high ...

The latter pair in particular - this morning when I woke up, I hadn't the slightest inclination to buy this set. Six hours later, I'd ordered it!

                          - 3p per disc more "expensive" than the Classics for Pleasure LPs I started my record collecting with over forty years ago! "Nuts" - but the finest quality Macadamia (both of Ancient Music, and St Martins-in-the-Fields)!

AND then there's the booklets, too!!!!

"booklets"? Well I guess the four to be found, one each in each of the four 'cubes', might reasonable be described as booklets, and "K" (neatly housed in its own strong card recess) likewise, but the other two volumes quite definitely command the description "book" (of the coffee table variety). Then there are the 'frameable' prints in their translucent envelope.
