#29 Well, ferney, you are right in that my hifi shop doesnt actually do much to order discs from Amazon, and I could easily do it myself, but I dont mind paying them a fee to do it for me, because I'm very averse to using credit cards and particularly using them on line. I'm sure there are all sorts of safeguards, but I just dont like using plastic for anything other than getting cash out of cash machines. I know this aversion is costing me money, but I'm prepared to pay the price. So the shop buys for me on line, and I pay them in cash. Buying discs is very much a sideline for them, and I may be their only customer for CDs, they mostly sell rather classy hi fi equipment.
Mozart Edition - complete this time.

Picked up my set this morning on the way to work. A cursory check showed the four sub-base and the first slip-cases in each to be appropriately labelled. The box is now locked up in the boot of my car. I will make a more thorough check of the contents when I get home tonight. Our misprints amazon.fr orders may have been frustrated but less than £300 for such a comprehensive set, It would be churlish to complain at the 2 days delay in the delivery of the Amazon.co.uk order.Last edited by Bryn; 03-11-16, 11:21.

Interesting development. As I posted earlier, when I took my defective set back to the hifi shop, Amazon wanted to charge an extra fifty quid for the replacement. I said I'd go home and think about it. The shop rang this morning to say that Amazon are now going to replace it for the original price, so I told them to go ahead.
I'm sure the extra charge was illegal, and I think Amazon realised it. Surely, when you agree to buy goods at a certain price, you have entered a contract? If so, and the goods are defective, the contract requires them to be replaced for that price? Can anyone who knows more about the law than me comment?
