Liszt's Piano Music

I've got around to listening to Trifonov "Transcendental" CD - personally he tends to play too fast and too loud for my taste so listening to too much in one sitting is er...too much, other people obviously think differently. I will say that his Transcendental Etudes really are transcendental though.

there is another set of Transcendental Etudes by Liszt - the original version of the so called Paganini Studies (the Études d'exécution transcendante d'après Paganini, S.140)

Recorded also by Gary Graffman (1959/60) and Andre Watts (1986 Angel Records). Graffman available on Sony Franz Liszt the masterworks collection.
