The Tortelier orchestration arrived at the weekend and I rather like it. First movement in particular works very well symphonically. I wouldn't want to be without the original but this struck me as more successful than, for example, the various orchestrations knocking about of the Debussy Preludes
Coupled with an interesting La Mer. Played at pace but none the worse for that. Nicely recorded and some lovely playing from the lower strings
