Annoyed to find that Eloquence has already deleted the 19CD box of all Ferras's Decca and DG recordings that are otherwise nla. It was only released last March and as far as I can see from Presto not available to download either. The Icon Ferras remains available and I have been listening through it this week . That Ferras/Barbizet set of the Beethoven sonata bowled me over again . Their partnership is extraordinary like close friends finishing each other's sentences.

It's still listed on the Eloquence website:

This Limited Edition original-jackets collection brings together the Decca and Deutsche Grammophon recordings of Christian Ferras, supplemented by those he made for these labels’ French and Japanese divisions. A ‘soulful, intelligent artist who produced a sound that was patrician and elegant, sumptuous and golden’ (The American Scholar) this collection presents what Gramophone magazine called as ‘some of the loveliest violin records of the past 50 years’.

But maybe as a Limited Edition it's already sold out.
Worth contacting them (or Presto) directly?

Yes reviewed in May 2023 . Not on Presto - one copy over £200 on Amazon - and I am not that big an admirer of Ferras !

I am an ENORMOUS admirer of Ferras and even then I don't think I'm up for €200-plus.

I didn't know he'd made that many recordings. He was certainly a faultless player with a pure style. Doubtless fans of Nigg, Egck and Elizalde will rush to buy it.
