    Record Review - French style.

Much as I enjoy Saturday mornings with Record Review, France Musique does even better by having a programme of new releases for three hours every day of the week. The programme is called En Pistes! ..it's on between 8 and 11 (UK time) and gives substantial excerpts. Not a lot of chat, mostly music - which is great in my book.

I seem to recall that R3 used to do just that, with new releases from 7am to 9am, then Record review from nine onwards.

Just listened to a terrific live adaptation for a children's audience of Paddington Bear stories.

If you go to the France Musique website, you don't need much French to see what they are playing on the programme...and to be honest, the two presenters only speak a little between themselves whilst playing whole extracts from the new discs.
