It sounds excellent, as does the Heliodor LP, but the box will set you back about £79 for 45 CDs

The download is the DG download available coupled rather oddly with Schneiderhan in the Mendelssohn ( I only downloaded the Beethoven 3 so cannot say what that is like )

The DG download site links through to Presto and iTunes to purchase....

Leaving iTunes aside (i.e. don't know) there is a FLAC (so lossless) download available on Presto, at a price.....(Presto, as a survivor in UK retail perhaps being more worthy of support than some others).

I'm not aware why this performance is so special (I'll have to research it) but the choice might be the box set with over 40 discs, the FLAC download at a premium, or hunting down a CD (but again, at what price?). Another question - is the Tower records version (not the same coupling as the current DG) remastered and better than the currently available DG (which might be a factor in the better sound as well).

That is possible but Any information about the remastering is in Japanese.

The coupling is the original pair of Mozart rondos K382 and K 386

Listening to it again prompted me to look it up again and here it is. A little more expensive than when I bought it but not much .
